We wanted to take a moment to honor one of our longtime vendors and friends, Charlie L. Hoehnle, following his passing on February 19th, 2026.

Charlie was one of the original vendors at the Williamsburg Farmers Market and a familiar face here for years. He gardened for 75 years, was a longtime member of Seed Savers, and proudly entered his fruits and vegetables in county and state competitions for nearly 50 years. You could always count on seeing him at the market. He was friendly, ready to chat with customers and fellow vendors, and almost always sporting a Chicago Cubs t-shirt.

Charlie loved sharing what he grew and the connections that came with it, and his presence will be deeply missed.
